More Money than Brains

More Money than BrainsI saw this when I was driving home today and I just HAD to post it!

The image doesn’t quite do the whole “scene” justice, its one of those things where you just had to be there. As someone who has driven Ferarris and owned plenty of sports cars, I can tell you this guy really jacked up his ride. He’s going to need a few new rims, and after a gnarly spin like that, probably about $6,000 in suspension/undercarriage work – maybe more.

But here’s what I don’t understand… WHY?

What’s the motivation to “punch it” and skid out like a douchebag? I know the guy probably didn’t mean to do it, but at the same time he had to know that there was gobs of power on tap and any foolish move is going to end up being bad news.

And believe me, this isn’t jealousy talking either. Although that’s a nice looking car, I wouldn’t be comfortable in it. I felt weird enough driving the 911, Julie’s Mercedes or the Bimmers. I’ve just come to the realization that I won’t be able to have an exotic car until the kids are much older. My heart just can’t handle the stress of worrying about it in the garage with all the neighborhood kids ripping and chasing through there.

The “R” used to get dinged up all the time by the boys’ handlebars, scooters, brooms falling over, nerf guns, footballs and all the other ruckus that goes on in our garage. I finally couldn’t handle it anymore and turned it in.

What makes it even more of a downer is we have a flippin’ FOUR CAR GARAGE! You’d think that 3 little boys and their friends could learn how to avoid certain areas out there and just STAY AWAY… but no.

Oh well, there’s still the LTC – thanks Mackey!
